International shadow puppet workshop for scenography students
International shadow puppet workshop for scenography students
In November 2024, seven students from the Scenography Department took part in an international shadow puppet workshop hosted by The Academy of Arts and Culture in Osijek.
Collaborating with peers from the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and the Academy of Arts and Culture in Osijek, the Hungarian students joined a group of 38 international participants to design, direct, and film seven unique shadow puppet performances. These projects explored a wide range of mediums and delved into the essence of shadow-play, pushing the boundaries of the art form.
This workshop was organized as part of the European project Interdisciplinary Puppetry Modules for Art Universities (IPMAU), which aims to introduce students from various artistic disciplines to the world of puppet design and animation.
