Closing event of the year and EU4ART professional conference

In the framework of the EU4ART European University Project, a graduation ceremony took place at the Uránia National Film Theatre on 2 July 2022. After the closing ceremony, a professional conference was held in the building to present the current issues and situation of the EU4ART project.
Rector István Erős opened the event with a speech, followed by speeches by József Szurcsik, Deputy Rector General, and Csaba Orosz, Deputy Rector Education.
After the toasts, the graduating students received their diplomas on stage. After the graduates in Painting, Graphic Design, Sculpture, Intermedia and Visual Design, the graduates in Fine Art Theory, Restoration and Fine Art Teacher followed at the ceremony.
After the ceremony, Rector István Erős and Vice-Chancellor Beáta Pápai presented the jubilee certificates of the Chancellor's area to the honoured colleagues.

István Kácser Head of Operations, 35 years of service,
Ágnes Vastag, Operations Department employee, 25 years of service,
Attila Szatmári, employee of the Library, Archives and Art Collection, 20 years of service,
Mrs István Pongó, Head of the Studies Department, on the occasion of her retirement,
Lászlóné Ollós, Administrator of the Studies Department, also on the occasion of her retirement.
Afterwards, Rector István Erős and Deputy Rector for Education Csaba Orosz presented the jubilee diplomas of the Education Department to the following colleagues:
Tamás Felsmann, Associate Professor of the Department of Graphic Arts, 35 years of service,
János Kósa, Associate Professor of the Painting Department, 30 years of service,
Ágnes Balikóné Rozmann, Associate Professor in the Department of Graphic Arts, 30 years of service,
Géza Sallai, Associate Professor, Department of Sculpture, 25 years of service,
Eszter Lázár, Assistant Professor at the Department of Fine Arts Theory, 25 years of service,
Imre Nagy, Associate Professor, Department of Teacher Education, 25 years of service,
János Gábor Barta, Master Lecturer at the Department of Graphic Arts, 20 years of service,
Judit Csanádi, assistant professor of the Department of Visual Design, 20 years of service.
Afterwards, Rector István Erős and Frigyes Kőnigyes, President of the Doctoral Council, presented the doctoral degrees:
István Labancz, Assistant Professor of the Department of Graphic Design, and
Mátyás Fusz, Adjunct Professor in the Department of Anatomy, Drawing and Geometry of Art.
In addition, a habilitation diploma for
Géza Sallai, Head of the Department of Sculpture.
After the awarding of the diplomas, Auntie Edit Bódogné Török and István Szarka, President of the Richárd Török Foundation, presented an award to Bálint Bóka, a graduating student of sculpture.
The Tamás Vígh Award was presented by Géza Sallai, Head of the Sculpture Department, to Dániel Nagy, a sculpture student, for the best thesis.
The Pannoncolor award was presented in the absence of the award winner, Lívia Suba, by Zoltán Ötvös, to the following students:
Mátyás Győri, senior student of painting,
Csenge Onozó, a first-year painting student,
Kitti Szabó, a first-year student of painting.
The ceremony ended with a photo of the graduating students, followed by a toast.
After the end of the academic year, a professional conference on the EU4ART European University project led by the University started. First, the importance of the EU4ART European University Project was discussed, followed by the activities and status of the different working groups. The experiences of the mobility programme were also summarised. At the end of the programme, the participants had the opportunity to ask questions to the professional management.
