The HUFA stand at the Art Market was very popular
The Hungarian University of Fine Arts participated again this year at the Art Market Budapest, the most important international contemporary art fair in Central and Eastern Europe. MKE's independent stand introduced the works of talented young students between 19 and 22 October 2023 at the Bálna in Budapest.
For HUFA students – the promising artists of the future – the Art Market is not only an excellent platform for artistic introduction and meeting every year, but also a great opportunity to sell their works, as the exhibited works could be bought at the fair. The HUFA selection at the fair included traditional art genres (painting, sculpture, graphic arts) as well as new trends and new media. The works on display showed visitors how students had experienced and processed individual traumas and events in their lives and how they had reflected on the social phenomena that concerned them. The stand was visited by a large number of visitors over the four days and displayed the works of the past year of students from five departments – Painting, Graphic design/Print making, Intermedia, Sculpture, Visual Arts, as well as the Doctoral School.
