"Ágnes Hardi’s exhibition, Pattern, presents new site-specific reliefs that engage in a sensitive dialogue with the historic mosaic floor of the Parthenon Frieze Hall at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts. Hardi’s works, created with the precision and scale of architectural models, depict the urban spaces of our everyday lives, zooming us out from our familiar environments—just enough to make us realize how little we’ve noticed what surrounds us day by day. These reliefs reveal the textures and structures of the past while capturing the identity of space through new visual patterns. In Ágnes Hardi’s art, the inner courtyards of Budapest’s downtown buildings and the well-worn mosaic floor of Epreskert are reborn in a contemporary context. Patterns, habits, patterns—let’s take a closer look!"
